2009 Serotta Coeur d'Acier Build
After about 8 months in the making, I finally have my new bike out on the road. The frame is a full-custom Serotta Coeur d'Acier (steel with carbon fork and seat stays) built up with Dura Ace 7800 and Dura Ace carbon clinchers. The cockpit is made up of a Thompson post + Specialized Toupe Team saddle, and FSA K-Force stem & bars.
Serottas are made in my hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY, so I've had lot's of time to dream about owning one. Now that I do, I'm happy to say that it totally exceeds my expectations. The paint is unbelievable, and the ride quality definitely lives up to the Serotta reputation.
I'll use this bike for long training rides to get ready for the mtb and cyclocross seasons, and for my 25 mile daily commute to ASTRO -- as long as it's not raining.
