The Solo needed to appeal to and inspire hard-core drone enthusiasts and casual users alike. Positioning the Solo on the cutting-edge of the lifestyle-technology intersection demanded we create a bold yet user-friendly look. The hazards of flight also insisted we use durable materials that would protect the Solo’s advanced technology.
Our work also touched all aspects of the 3DR and Solo brand, from naming the company and designing their logo, to creating packaging that doubles as a handy carrying case for the drone. The result is a fully integrated consumer experience that has positioned 3DR to be a leader in the growing consumer video drone market.
